Barb has worked in career services in higher education for over 13 years where she has been a general career counselor, an alumni career counselor, and a liaison to the Warner College of Natural Resources. Within each of these roles, she enjoyed helping students figure what they want to do next and how to do it. However, her interests in understanding data and learning outcomes have led her to the role of Associate Director of Assessment and Strategic Initiatives at CSU. Barb’s undergraduate degree is in History from Colorado College in Colorado Springs and her graduate degree is in Student Affairs in Higher Education from Miami University in Ohio.
Kristyn is the Career Communities and Veterans Career Coordinator, spending her time between both the Career Center and Adult Learner and Veteran Services. A proud Wisconsinite, she received her bachelor’s degree from the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse in Organizational and Professional Communication Studies, then she made her way to the mountains where she received her master’s degree from Colorado State University’s Student Affairs in Higher Education program.
Kristyn has over three years of experience with career advising and nearly five years of experience working with veterans in various capacities. She is passionate about finding ways to assist people in living out their hopes and dreams, connecting people to their “people,” and helping others tell and share their unique story well.
