Students in the Apparel and Merchandising participate in department-coordinated internships and research opportunities. These experiences are intended to provide students with real life experience in design, product development, merchandising, sourcing, retailing, and promotions/public relations with supervision from industry professionals. Over the years, students have participated in internships with companies including Betsy Johnson, Nordstrom, Ralph Lauren, Target, and non-profit organizations such as Ten Thousand Villages and Women in Progress.
