The Career Education Specialists are vital to the mission of the Career Center and are often the first to provide students with career education and information using an equity and inclusion approach. Drop-in advising is an essential service that allows students to meet with our Specialists through a peer-to-peer learning approach to receive support with their career needs which include, but not limited to, career exploration, job/internship search, on campus job search and preparation, interview preparation, resume/cover letter feedback and graduate school preparation. Occasionally Specialist will engage in additional career education programming/presentations.

Did you know that each year over 150,000 jobs are posted to CSU students in Handshake? This position plays an important role in ensuring that all jobs and employer requests get reviewed in a timely manner so that CSU students have access to more employment opportunities.
This role may also be asked to assist the On-Campus Recruiting Coordinator with preparing the office for any on-campus employer interviews. This includes clean-up & set-up of interview rooms and hospitality areas, prep of employer folders, print and post interview schedules. Additional tasks include data entry in Handshake of interview schedules and employer information and assist with various aspects of special events, such as CSU career fairs, employer information sessions, etc.

The Event & Program Assistant is vital to the mission of the Career Center and helps provide career opportunities and connections for our diverse student body. The Event & Program Assistant assists in planning, implementing, and evaluating various career events throughout the year, including, but not limited to: the Fall and Spring Career Fair, Walter Scott, Jr. College of Engineering Fair, and the Just in Time Fair. Review and manage employer registrations for all major career fair events.

The Experiential Learning Specialist is responsible for advancing training programs and events for student employee & internship development across the University. This includes working with the Student Employee Development Coordinator and Internship Development Coordinator to create & facilitate trainings and resources for supervisors and students.

The Outreach Intern leads outreach efforts for the Career Center with support from the Director of Operations & Assessment as well as other student staff. This includes being an ambassador for the Career Center through multiple channels as well as supporting Career Center events.

The Student Tech Coordinator will provide technical support for the staff and student staff at the Career Center, remotely and in person. They will help set up new users, image PCs, troubleshoot both PCs and MACs, troubleshoot printing issues, perform website updates in WordPress.
